About us
An institute built by people who mark papers
United OET started when a group of trainers kept meeting the same candidate: fluent at work, competent on the ward, and stuck at Grade C in Writing. The problem was never their English.
OET rewards a narrow, learnable set of behaviours. Selecting the right case notes. Stating a purpose in the first line. Reading Part A fast enough to leave time for Parts B and C. Speaking to a patient rather than at an examiner.
None of that is taught by more grammar drills, and none of it is visible in a class of sixty. So we built the institute around the constraint that actually matters: batch size small enough that every student speaks in every session, and every letter is read closely by the person who taught the lesson.
We are an independent preparation provider. We are not affiliated with OET or with any regulator, and we will always point you to your board's published requirements rather than repeat them second-hand.

How we teach
Four commitments we hold to
Trainers who mark to the criteria
Our faculty teach against the published OET assessment criteria, so feedback tells you which band you are in and what moves you up — not just what sounded wrong.
Small batches, by design
Batches are capped so that every student speaks in every session and every letter gets read closely. Speaking practice does not work at scale.
Profession-specific throughout
A nurse and a radiographer sit different writing tasks. Our material is separated by profession from day one rather than adapted at the end.
Unlimited writing feedback
Writing is where most retakes come from. Submit as many letters as you like during your course; each one comes back annotated within 48 hours.
